Who am I?
I go by kasettetape (He/Him) on pretty much every platform. I'm 33 and work as a professional freelance artist - sometimes for animated shorts or TV.
A couple years ago, I decided to go back to school and study marine biology, focusing on ichthyology, ecology and fisheries science.
I also part time as an biology tutor and animal caretaker where I help look after saltwater and freshwater fish, snakes, and other reptiles and amphibians.

Hobbies
Drawing
For the most part I draw digitally, but I've also tried oils, watercolors or gouache from time to time. I know everyone says it, but I really need to get back into keeping a sketchbook - I just find it super difficult for some reason.
Drawing is a huge part of my life, but my goal is to get back to doing it for a hobby and for myself and not for work.

Hiking, Camping, Etc!
I am super outdoorsy and am up for a hike just about any time, anywhere! My goal right now is to accumulate enough gear for an overnight camping trip. Either way, my favorite place to be is in the woods on a mountain somewhere.
Softball/Baseball
When I am able to, I play co-ed softball. The team I end up on always changes but we took regionals in 2024! I play centerfield and am usually lead-off hitter or clean-up. I love baseball and going to see games!! My favorite teams are the Dodgers, Yankees and Orioles.
Coding
I've been on the internet since the 90s,and playing around with code since roughly 2004. At the time I was a horse kid, so I really liked the OG Horseland site - mostly because everyone was designing crazy layouts for their pages. So that's where I started using HTML. Later on I picked up CSS on DeviantArt coding journals etc. I dunno, something about it is super satisfying for me, being able to design something AND make it a functional thing people can interact with is cool.
