Always seems to be bouncing from one emotional extreme to another. He fluctuates wildly from cocky, confident, and carefree to an absolute nervous wreck when things don't go as planned. Other times he'll go through weeks long depressive episodes, avoiding even close friends entirely. To others, he appears unwilling to accept blame for the situations he lands himself in, but that's mainly a ruse thrown up out of sheer embarassment. June craves control over his life and will sacrifice himself and his relationships in order to obtain it (or the illusion of it anyway).
For all his faults, he is extremely hard working, loyal, and always seeking self improvement. That said, his own shortcommings are all he ever seems to notice, so this behavior can get pretty self destructive if unchecked.
While many would happily call him a good friend, he has a bit of an anger problem that has given him a nasty reputation. Being snappy, rude, and sarcastic is something he struggles to rein in when all worked up or overstimulated.
June's mom is a deer and his dad is a bear, but for the most part his features are deerlike, with some quirks in his proportions and colors that hint to his bear 'half'. And paws. He's got those. He is almost never lean and always has pudge but his general small stature and baggy clothes hide this well. Despite being on the thicker side he is very athletic.
While definitely covered in scars, the only one I draw with regularity is the stitched scar on his forehead an an actual scar I have from some badly healed staples in a head wound. yay.
While I do use June to represent myself majority of the time, he's actually really his own person and not meant to be a 1:1 fursona. More of a mascot with a part of myself thrown in. He has his own story where he drops out of college to form his own amatuer baseball team that helps him learn and grow as a person outside of his own self absorbed tendencies. The kicker is when he starts he is really, really bad. But the heart is there, and he wants to be a Pitcher, and there's really no one that exists on this earth capable of telling him what to do.
June loves baseball, almost to the point of obsession. And little else makes him feel like he has purpose like baseball does. While I'll likely just keep this as some sort of headcanon, I intend to have him make an appearance in the baseball comic I am working on that centers around some other characters I have!
June's style is extremely inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s street culture and alt scene - just very muted. He doesn't wear bright colors or flashy graphics (outside of the occasional band tee) and his clothes get worn until they just about fall apart. He really has no fashion sense and everything he owns is second hand and practical in design.
His personal music taste runs from hip-hop to 70s dad rock with bands like blink-182, Fallout Boy, and Weezer being somewhere in between.
